During a short but tightly packed two-day trip to Paris in beautiful November light, we enjoyed countless inspiring conversations and meetings.

It was a real pleasure to feel the energy of the contemporary art photography scene and to meet so many strong individuals who are shaping our industry.

Jim Krantz presenting his new book at GOST BOOKS LIMITED (thank you, Katie Clifford, for revealing the cover secret); kostas maros from Switzerland; Fotios Yfantis and Alex Stöckle of Prolab Stuttgart; Markus and Angelika Hartmann of Hartmann Books; and the grande dame Vera Mercer at a special private reception.

We loved the impressive works by Charles Negre – thank you, Jean-Baptiste Romfort from Galerie Carole Lambert, for introducing us to his work. The Galerie Esther Woerdehoff showed amazing works by Michael Schnabel.

Podbielsky Contemporary from Milan presented a wonderful solo show by Loredana Nemes. Many thanks to Pierre André Podbielski for sharing insights into the current Italian art photography market.

And last but not least, the intense works by Chinese photographer Lin Zhipeng at Stieglitz19 Gallery from Belgium – thank you, Dries Roelens, for the insights into his work.

And there were so many more we can’t list you all…

There is a reason why Paris Photo was ranked number one among the six most important international photography art fairs by German magazine Profifoto (Thomas Gerwers). We would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the fair and this beautiful city with so many great artists to discover.

But we will definitely be back next November.
